Week 5 original

WEEK FIVE

Remember on May 31st, Memorial Day 2021 to say “Thank You” to your veterans. This past year we have lost more veterans and the telling of their stories on what truly happened in our American History. Take time to visit, listen to their stories, ask questions, and recognize the selfless sacrifices they and their fellow service members made to give us the freedom we enjoy every day.

Your Praise Challenges for this week are listed below. Pick one challenge per day as you use your Bible to read Scriptures, pray about what you read, and take time to be still --- listen for what God is saying to you.

Praise Challenge:  The “light” has been given to us…we are to be the hands and feet of Christ.  As you move around your community let your “light” shine so that others can see and know Christ through you and your actions.

Praise Challenge:  You are chosen by God because he wants you. He loved you before time began. He chose you to give you hope. He chose you to represent him in holiness and truth. He divinely chose you to be the love companion for his Son, Jesus Christ. He chose you to set you free. And he chose you to display his glory.  You are unique! Be blessed my friend!

Praise Challenge:  God has commissioned each of us to share with others his message of love and peace.

Praise Challenge:  We are God’s workmanship, Paul says, and this means we are called to “good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Eph. 2:10). God will see to it that His work for each of us is carried to completion. By His preserving grace, He will carry us to our destination in heaven.

Praise Challenge:  What does "God’s" protection mean? Sometimes God's protection comes in the form of peace and strength in the middle of despair. Sometimes God's protection comes as an ending because he sees something more on the horizon that we cannot see.

Praise Challenge:  We can make the choice to go through life without a leader, but why? His way is perfect and His plan to lead us in His way is perfect. Follow Him, you will never regret it.

Benediction:

Make every effort to preserve the unity the Spirit has already created, with peace binding you together.” (Ephesians 4:3)

Through the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells in us through our belief in Jesus, our Lord and Savior, inspire our hearts to seek You in Your Word daily. Grow us both individually and together, as we seek the peace of Your presence. Help us to walk faithfully and fiercely after Christ, reflecting His love. May we always lift our progress up to You, who holds the honor and glory for who we are and what we do. Use our lives, Lord, to reach those who desperately need to know You love them.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
