Jan Walsh, Lead Pastor

I was born and partially raised in the capital of our State- Columbus, Ohio (GO Bucks!) My father moved us to Alliance, Ohio, where I spent the next 20 + years – graduating from Alliance High in 1972. I may be old, but I’m not quite dead yet! 😊 I met my husband, Scott a few years later - (OK, a LOT later) and from this union have 3 lovely children: Kara, Lacey and Tony who have given us 4.8 grandchildren. Yes, we have one ready to make his/her appearance in May 2026. Scott is a pastor over in Canton at another United Methodist Church – West Brook Park. We’ve been meandering our way through life together for 36 years and are thoroughly enjoying every moment of our journey! We love the Lord, love one another, and want to bring as many as we can to Heaven when we go! We love you and are praying for you!

Cheryl Sternberg, Organist & Accompanist

A longtime member of Mt Tabor, Cheryl has played the organ and piano for more than 50 years. Her talents usher our congregation into worship each week with skill and emotional depth. She and her husband, Lee, have two grown children.

Sandy Hamilton, Administrative Assistant

Sandy is a mother to 4, grandmother to 17, and great-grandmother to 5, so she is no stranger to managing chaos. Sandy keeps our office running smoothly, and she does it with a sense of humor.

Jillian Corbi, Worship Leader & Music Director

A wife and mom of 2, Jillian directs the bell choir, adult choir, and leads us in worship each Sunday. She believes that songs of praise should lead us into the Father’s presence and point us toward a better understanding of the sermon.

Cheryl Hart, Custodian

Cheryl has been married to Tom since 1978. They have two daughters, one son-in-law, and two grandsons. They also have two adorable cats. Cheryl has been a part of the team at Mt. Tabor since July of 2025.

Charlotte Schweitzer, Treasurer

Charlotte is our steadfast manager of all things financial. Her attention to detail and skill at creating the best spreadsheets keep us all in-the-loop.

Eric Kitzmiller and Norris Stringer, Sound System Techs

Eric and Norris handle our livestream and sound system every week. Eric is a father of 3, and a paramedic when he’s not manning our technology desk. Norris recently welcomed his 11th great-grandchild!
